Hi GL,
Thank you so much for your comments. Yes, I agree that is an important point to make, ie that Job seekers need to be actively engaged in multiple job search strategies- and yet, so many job seekers still overlook this simple suggestion.
GL, I am very pleased to tell you that your site www.linkup.com IS in fact on my Top 10 Websites to use in the Job Search.. You didn't do your research! ; -). You have done a great job with it and I recommend that as part of the selected web destinations to go to in your search. Check it out at my resources page, www.careerfolk.com/resources. Linkup.com also happened to get a shout out on a webinar I gave yesterday, so we are spreading the word of your good work. Speaking of which, I notice you didn't mention your blog, What would Dad Say.-. Also, worthwhile reading Job Seekers!

Thanks for sharing your comments here, and I look forward to connecting.. again.

Nice post, Donna. You have successfully explained the basic mechanics for a job search. Well done.
The only thing I would emphasize is that there is, most likely, not just one technique that works. Eg, job seekers know and use SimplyHired and Indeed because these two aggregate all the job boards. Most still don't know about our company www.LINKUP.com which only aggregates jobs directly from company websites, clearly the jobs that are most relevant and available on the web.
thanks again for all you do for job seekers...what a great service you provide!!
